Reconciliation requires willingness from both people and some evidence of change. Tarot can help you prepare your own part: acknowledging harm, proposing repair and defining conditions for another attempt. It cannot tell you that forgiveness is owed or that reunion will happen.
Choose the question and positions before drawing
What can I take responsibility for, and what would a fair repair require?
Use these positions in order:
- My responsibility
- A concrete repair
- Conditions for another try
A worked example: connect each card to its position
You agreed to call at seven if your Friday plans changed. You cancelled late that evening without warning, leaving your partner waiting. You want to repair that specific breach, not obtain instant forgiveness.
My responsibility — Judgement
The responding figures invite a review of your action. Say: “I agreed to let you know by seven and did not. You were left waiting. I am sorry.” Name the missed agreement without adding “but you also…” or taking responsibility for unrelated arguments.
A concrete repair — Six of Pentacles
The distribution of resources asks what would make the exchange fairer. Offer to arrange the next meeting around their availability and to send a brief update if your plans change. Ask whether that would help; do not treat the offer as a payment for forgiveness.
Conditions for another try — Temperance
The mixing vessels suggest an arrangement both can sustain. Ask whether they want a conversation at all. If they do, agree one notification rule and review it after two weeks. A refusal is an answer to respect, not a reason to draw again.
A complete apology could be: “I left you waiting after promising an update. I am sorry. Next time I will message before seven if plans change. Would you like to discuss another arrangement? You do not have to answer now.” Send it only if contact is welcome; the next evidence is your behaviour, not another favourable card.
A mistake to avoid
Do not mistake longing or a warm card for evidence that harmful behaviour has changed.
Continue with a focused next step
Use the apology only when contact is welcome, then let the other person choose their response. A personal reading can help with your unresolved responsibility or limit; it cannot promise reconciliation or make forgiveness owed. Review the available format and price before confirming a paid continuation.
