Upright Meaning

Truth and fairness are at work. The consequences of your actions — and others' — are coming to light with perfect balance.

Reversed Meaning

Injustice or dishonesty may be at play. Examine your own biases and ensure you're acting with integrity and accountability.

How it actually shows up

Justice is the card of consequences arriving, and it is not primarily moral. It appears when a chain of earlier decisions reaches the point of resolution — the audit, the diagnosis, the conversation that finally happens, the contract someone actually reads. What makes it uncomfortable is its indifference to intention. Justice weighs what was done, not what was meant, which is why it lands hard for people who have been managing a situation with good will and no correction. In readings it often accompanies paperwork, and it is one of the few cards where the mundane reading is usually the right one: legal processes, settlements, formal decisions. Reversed, it tends to show a reckoning being postponed by someone with the power to postpone it, and the cost of that postponement accruing quietly.
