Is This the Right Decision? Reading a Choice
By the time someone brings a decision to a reading, they have usually made and unmade it several times. The looping is the symptom: a decision that can be settled by reasoning normally gets settled. The ones that reach a tarot reading are the ones where the options are not comparable — where each costs something different and both matter.
What a spread does well here is separate the strands. Readings on decisions tend to reveal that the choice being agonised over is not the real one: the real one is usually about which version of yourself you are prepared to be, and the practical decision follows from it almost automatically. Cards in the position of the obstacle are worth the most attention — they often name the thing you have refused to count.
What the cards can't tell you
There is no card that means 'yes, do it'. Readings that promise to identify the correct option are answering a question the cards do not answer. A spread can show you the terrain around a decision; it cannot carry the responsibility of having made one, and any reader who offers to is doing you no favours.
