The Moon is the card of not being able to see clearly, and its most common real-world form is not mystery but distortion. Anxiety at three in the morning, a story you've told yourself so many times you've stopped checking it, a situation where everyone involved is working from different and unstated assumptions. It is a frequent card in readings about relationships where the querent cannot tell whether their unease is perception or projection. The Moon does not resolve that, and it is honest about why: some things genuinely cannot be seen from where you're standing. What it counsels is delay — do not make the irreversible decision in this light. Reversed, it often reads as fog beginning to lift, and with it, some embarrassment about what was believed while it was thick.
